Casting Your Vision
Movement doesn’t mean much if it’s not directed at a specific target. Do you know where you’re going? The pace of most of our lives is go-go-go. Places to go, people to see, things to do! The to-do lists feel endless and ever-growing longer.
🗨️One of the deceptions of busyness is that it can lead us to believe that we are being productive; but upon closer examination we may find that while we are constantly spinning our wheels, we may not actually be moving the needle forward in a measurable way.
So, how can we make sure our output is leading to a meaningful outcome? That our efforts and the energy we put forth are fruitful?
The first step is making sure we’re clear on where we want to go. Proverbs 29:18 tells us that “without vision people perish“; and Habakkuk 2:2 says to “write the vision and make it plain“. It is obvious that this is an essential practice!
If you’re not sure where your north star is, set aside some time where you can be still and meditate on this. Ask the Lord to guide you. Where do your desires lie? What dreams has He placed in your heart? Get honest with yourself and don’t hold back here!
👉🏼What do you want this one wild and precious life to look like?
👉🏼What values do you want to instill in your children?
👉🏼What legacy will you build for future generations?
Make sure you allow adequate time for this. Don’t worry if you can’t answer every question in one sitting. The idea here is not to add pressure or hold yourself to a certain timeline, but to be sure you are thoughtful and intentional about it. How you answer these questions will be key for guiding future decisions, so don’t rush the process!
Of course we can’t always know or guarantee an outcome, but knowing in what direction we want to move will give us a solid foundation for when decisions arise.
For example, if a dream you have for your family is to own a farm with cattle and grow your own food, then when a job opportunity arises that would move you to a large city, you will be clear on what to do.
At times we will need to make decisions that feel less obvious, and that is ok. Let peace be your guide.
🗨️Sometimes we just need to do the next right thing.
(🎤Be thankful you can’t hear me belting out my best Ana from Frozen 2 impression right now!). Sometimes you just need to take the next step in front of you in faith and trust the Voice behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”
Finally, I want to leave you with a quote that I heard from Kris Vallotton many years ago that has stuck with me ever since. He said,
🗨️”When your memories are greater than your dreams, you have already begun to die.”
Cast your vision, friend. Honor the past, savor the present, dream and plan for the future.
You were created for greatness!

Grateful, Timely, This article resonates in my heart. Therefore, by Faith I choose to step forward. There are some doors that have recently closed before me.
I have tried to open them without success. But in trying I recognize that it was indeed the LORD’s doing. He is jealous for my attention. Therefore, my attention
must be centered upon His will and purpose as written upon my Scroll. So I center my focus on that He is opening before me.
Several times when distractions have arisen. There has seemly been a voice behind me saying; “Stay in your lane…”
Joel 2:8″… they shall march every one on ‘HIS WAY’, and they shall not break ranks:”
We are so glad this post could resonate with you! Many blessings to you as move forward into perfect timing and alignments!
